IN MEMORY OF COCHIN HANEEFA

Cochin Haneefa died yesterday (2/2/10). He was one of my favourite actors. His death is a great lose to the Malayalam film industry.

He has acted in many Malayalam and Tamil films. He entered Malayalam film as a villain. Later he started to do comedy roles. He was one of the finest comedians of Malayalam films. He usually did characters who are very idiots and do funny things.

His notable comedy roles are in ‘Kireedam’, ‘Punjabi House’, ‘E Parakkum thalika’, ‘Meesha Madhavan’ etc. In ‘Punjabi House’ he did the role of a foolish boat owner. To me it was his most funniest role. I liked that character very much.

He has also done villain roles in Tamil films. His most notable film was Kamal Hassan’s ‘Mahanadi’. In that film he did the role of a pimp. He has also directed films in Tamil. He also did a film 'Pasha Paravaikal' based on the script of Tamilnadu Chief Minister Karuna Nidhi. He was very close to Karuna Nidhi.

He has also directed many films in Malayalam. His most notable films are Valtsalyam, Veena meetiya viralukal etc.

His latest films were Boady guard and Vettaikaran in Tamil.

His death is a irreparable lose to the malayalam and tamil film viewers.

Wasting time at weekend

Yesterd, me and friend, went to the city, as it was Sunday. We just walked around the city, went to shopping mall. Later, we went to the beach. The beach was very crowded, as it was a holiday. They have come to enjoy the evening. The day passed without happening much notable.

It also includes hindi movies like Deewana and Vivah. The majority of the Hollywood movies are B-grade movies, mostly of the exploitaton and horror genre. There is no censoring of nudity in this section!

6. Google video: You can find loads of movies here, which you can watch online for free.

INDIAN FASHION WORLD

Indian fashion industry is growing by leaps and bounds. Its designers are being recognized world over. Indian models are also getting entry to the world fashion, like Laxmi menon. I think Indian fashion industry can grow more, because India has great culture, with people wearing large variety of clothes. It should stop following the west and build its own fashion culture.

 

Mumbai is the hub of Indian fashion industry. Various fashion designers showcase their collection in various seasonal events. Indian fashion designers do showcase various designs of sarees, kurta, salwar etc. A new category of attire can be created with the fusion of western and Indian cultures. Sari is the most gracious garment of India. This brings out the sensuality of Indian beauty. Sari does attract world attention.

FOCUS MALL IN CALICUT

Focus mall is the Calicut's first shopping mall. It is situated at the Rajaji road junction, Mavoor road and is near new private bus stand. It is attracting a large crowd every day and has become a place to spend time for people, especially young people. These are some snaps taken by me.
