Now the new Harry Potter movie has released. This again has broken all record in the box office. There may be many die hard fans of this movie. But, I didn’t like these Harry Potter movies. I have seen only the first movie. Well it seemed to be good then because it was new and all looked balanced. The Harry Potter looked cute, because he was a child. All other child actors looked cute and innocent. But after that all, changed
Well, I generally don’t like sequels. If you ate same sweet again and again you get bored. The remaining sequels were full of magic and all other stuffs. Some times the film looked like some science fiction movie, with news papers that had moving images. Well the whole movie is in the hand of special effects team. And the story seemed stupid and too confusing to me. I don’t know how people love this movie.
I tried to see some of these sequels when they were aired on Cable TV. But, I couldn’t complete any of them. It didn’t seem interesting to me.
Now they have introduced romance into them. The actors are no more kids, they have grown up with the movie. They are now teenagers. I think, its time to replace them.
I think, Rowling is a lucky lady, she has become millionaire with the book and the movie. I don’t think it is difficult to write such a story. You can write anything which comes to your mind, whether it makes sense or not, doesn’t matter, because it is an imaginary world, full of magic. So anything can happen here. A car can suddenly fly, a pen can talk and give you answers to the exam! I can’t see why people don’t get bored by repeatedly seeing these things. If Rowling was in India she would have never earned such money and publicity. The Americans and Europeans are very good at marketing these things. I think the media hype generated by them has caused the book to be such popular. I think there is well prepared media propaganda. Without this I don’t think that this book would be such popular. And us Indians are after what westerners promote and are ready to swallow what they provide.
Exploitation films have been popular all over the world. There is many exploitation films in English and other languages. The most notorious are from Italian and Japanese film industry. Italian and Japanese are very violant and contains nudity and sex. Japanese films are known for their violence.
One of the famous exploitation film which I happened to see is Cannibal Holocaust. This film is directed by Ruggero Deodato an Italian director. The film is in English. This film has caused many controversies. This movie tells the story of four documentarians who journey deep into the Amazon jungle to film indigenous tribes. They fail to retain. A famous anthropologist travel into the jungle, to find out what happened to them. He found that they are killed by the cannibals. But, he manages to retrieve the film magazines from the tribe in return to a mini tape recorder.
The professor then returns, and views the cans of films. Which contains footage of the expedition of the dead documentarians. It also shows their death.
It contains lot of graphic scenes of violence, nudity and sex. Many animals are killed in real for the film. This has caused many controversies. The death of the crew seemed to so realistic tha the Director of the film was arrested for making Snuff film. The actors had to undergo a contract according which they would not appear before the media for a year, to give the film Snuff film look. But this contract had to be cancelled, to prove that they are alive before the court.
To me the film and the style of picturisation seemed appealing. Especially the camera work was good. The killings looked real.
Those who love such real looking violence would love this film. This film is not for light hearted people.
When I first read about the film, I was curious about the film, but to me the scenes didn’t look much horrifying, because, the killing of animals and all that are shown daily on tv channels like discovery and animal planet. I have seen such films and real footages earlier. But still the film is good.
Shruthi Hasan, hot daughter of Kamal hasan, is the hot news of the day. Her debut film released yesterday-Luck. Will she be lucky? Well time will tell. She is hot, given, the daughter of two great stars, she will anyway survive.
She was born on Jan 28, 1986. She has sister named, Akshara. Haasan studied at the Abacus in Chennai, until 10th grade, when she moved to Mumbai to study psychology at St Andrew’s College. She studied music at Musicians Institute, California, well!
Shruti Haasan sang her first song aged just six in her father's Thevar Magan in the composition of Ilaiyaraaja. Later while pursuing her studies in school, Haasan made her singing debut in the Hindi language film, Chachi 420, singing a duet performing for the voice of a child, with her father Kamal Haasan, who also directed the film. Shruti Haasan's second song came in Hey Ram, where she sang the bilingual versions of the title theme, Rama Rama with her father, in Hindi and in Tamil. The album from Ilayaraaja, which was critically praised, won Haasan accolades for her efforts with reviewers, Screen India praising that she "has the makings of a good singer, and with some training she should go great guns".
Shruti Haasan, has most recently sung in a Tamil film, for Gautham Menon's Vaaranam Aayiram under the composition of Harris Jayaraj. As of November 2008, Haasan is also midway through her untitled debut album, which she has composed, written and sung, and is set for release in mid-2009. A further song was recorded under her voice for her forthcoming Hindi film, Luck.
After pursuing a career in singing, Shruti Haasan branched out a career into modelling. She started by starring appearing in the Frappe! magazine version of September 2007, since then she has gone on to appear in Verve.
After much speculation, Shruti Haasan was confirmed as the music composer for the upcoming Tamil film Unnaipol Oruvan, with lead role played by her father Kamal Haasan who is also co-producer of the movie under Rajkamal International.
Shruthi seems to be not riding on her dad's fame, as she is not leaving any stone unturned to make her own niche in Bollywood. She's is appearing in a bikini in her very first film itself. It is said that she has performed some unbelievable stunts besides providing glamour to the film. Shruti is certainly one of the highlights of Luck.
One of my favourie actress is Asin. There is no need to say about, Asin, as she is already famous in South India. With Ghajini opposite Aamir Khan she is now known all over India. Well, she is extremely, lucky, Ghajini was whooping hit of 2008. I think she is the rising star on Hindi film industry. She has all the qualities that an actress need in Hindi film industry. She is beautiful, sexy and a good actress.
Her photos are gorgeous man!
Meaning of her name—pure i.e without any sin well, --A(Sanskrit) + sin(English). Well that is really brilliant way of naming. Two, languages mixed together. Well!
Some facts about Asin:
* Asin was born in Cochin, Kerala, India on the 26th of October 1985 to Joseph and Seline Thottumkal * Asin made her debut in "Narendaran Makan" with Malayalyee actor Kunjachacko Boban. * Asin speaks several languages such as Malyalam, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Sanskrit, English, French.
Her filmography:
Her debut was in a Malayalam film ‘Narendra Makan Jayakanthan Vaka’(2001). Her first commercial success was Amma Nanna O Tamila Ammayi in 2003 a telugu film, whose remake into tamil was also a huge hit. Well in telugu version she played a tamil girl, and in tamil version she played as a malayalee girl
On July 20, Mohammad Ajmal Amir Kasab, confessed before the court that he was involved in the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack. Well this was a shock not only to the court and police department but also to entire country. Question is why was this sudden u turn?
This question was asked by the Judge M.L. Tahilyani to Kasab. Well his reply is certainly not very convincing.
This is the question which is disturbing me. Is US has any role in this? There is another question, how did Kasab know that Pakistan has accepted him as the Pak national? Well there is some thing fishy going on. I think someone has forced him to change his stance.
May be Pakistan has ordered him. May be he succumbed to the police pressure.
But there is some drama going on between, India, Pakistan and US. I think this whole drama is dictated by US. And I don’t believe in Indian government. Indian government is very lethargic in tackling terrorism.
Indian politicians or Indian government is inefficient in tackling the issue of terrorism and Pakistan. The dispute with Pakistan in unresolved for about 60 years. In these yrars many issues have been resolved in the world. Indian government should evolve serious plans to resolve this issue as soon as possible.
As of now India doesn’t have a politician who has any impact on the world, as Jawaharlal Nehru had. India is not certainly trying to influence the world or has any influence on world politics. Our neighbour China is far ahead in this matter. This why we cannot resolve many international disputes concerning India. Indian politicians are neglecting the management of foreign relation for decades now.
And now America’s influence on India is currently increasing. America as we know is driven by capitalist interests. And build relations based on this. America certainly has influence on Pakistan. And one can say that, the threat of Islamic terrorism faced by world is, created by America either directly or indirectly. For eg. Growth of Taliban. US has nourished the growth of Taliban with all means, of course with the help of Pakistan. Taliban was created with the aim to oppose Soviet influence in cold war era. And it has also supported terrorist outfits aimed at India, with the aim to stop the growth by India, as then India had more relationship with Soviet Union. China also took this opportunity to attack India, indirectly. China has always seen India has its rival. It has never been friendly with India. It has resolved border disputes all other countries except India. Why?
And Indian government has failed to develop a proactive approach to resolve these issues. It has increasingly failed to tackle terrorism. When terrorism is curbed in one part of India, it resurfaces in another part. It has weak Intelligence system. It does not have a professional intelligence group. IB is often headed by police officers in the IPS cadre, who may have served in the state police department. I think we should have specially trained intelligence cadre. If proper intelligence investigation is there then it is possible to stop many terrorist attacks. In us after Sep 11 attack there was no major terrorist attack. Why? Of course they have good intelligence system and have strong political will power. They are so powerful that they can influence any country to act according to their will.
Well India certainly is not a wealthy country like US but it still can do this because it has the potential. What needed is a strong political will power and efficient governance.
As far as Mumbai attack is concerned, it has shown us that how weak our system is. If we analyze all the incidents that took place on that day, it is really is pathetic. The news channels had started to show the incident from 11 pm onwards. When I switched to some news channel, they were showing scenes in the restaurant where blood were splattered all over. The channel were then saying that it was the result of gang war. It was only in the early morning that it was realized that it was a terrorist attack.
Then it was heard that Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) chief Hemant Karkare was killed, who was in the news recently. The death of Karkare caused me think, is our police well trained to deal such attacks. It was shown that Karkare was wearing some makeshift outfit, in a vague manner. Was he facing the terrorist directly without any proper cover? Obviously there was some errors with the dealing the terrorists that caused his death. Same thing can be seen with the police officer in Delhi, who was killed in an encounter with the terrorists, who were hiding in some flat. They are not trained how to tackle an armed criminal, in a conflict or armed operation or are not uptodate.
Secondly, why did it took more than three days to curtail the attack? Well there were all sorts of paramilitary and other forces surrounding the hotel. There was naval commando force. Then why did they wait for the NSG. Was NSG the only force in India to deal with such a situation? And the chaos around the hotel was very pathetic. Some army men lying all around, some were running and above all the media persons were all around.
The TV journalists used most of the situation. The police was very lazy in controlling the media. The live footages showed some journalists were very close to the site, covering every movement of the force. I think the media and all other people should be moved away as far as possible and live coverage should be prohibited. The crowd management was also poor. I was shocked to see that people were roaming around, were the battle between forces and terrorists were going on. It was extremely dangerous and serious lapse from the police force. There were some deaths due to the stray bullets.
It was such a mess. One more thing it was shown that the crowd were greeting the NSG men, hugging them, shaking their hands, well I was thinking that at that moment any terrorist hiding within the crowd could have attacks these army men.
Well, I don’t know whether the officials or the government has learned any thing from all this incidents. At least the Mumbai police department should learn something. I thing the first thing they should do is throw away all the 303 rifles, have at least some SLRs (Self loading rifle). They should be given state of the art technologies, and also good salary package. I should say all the 303 rifles should be replaced in all police forces all around India. As terrorism has now become global.
And we the citizens should have more awareness about these matters. We should force the government to take necessary steps in this regard, by all the means we could.
